About
Theatre Work
Stacy is a passionate costume technician, historian, and educator. Originally from Minnesota, she has worked regionally for over ten years, providing her with the opportunity to see much of the beautiful United States of America. Primarily she has worked in musical theatre working as a draper at Goodspeed Musicals CT, The Phoenix Theatre Company AZ, and The Rev NY. She has also stitched and run wardrobe at Riverside Theatre FL, The Matlz FL, and North Shore Musical Theatre MA. Additionally, she worked in opera and theatre for youth, as well as, starting out as a freelance designer in Minnesota's Twin Cities area. She has had the privileged to work on many new musical, such as, Anne of Green Gables a New Musical, and most notably on the US premier of Tim Rice's From Here to Eternity 2016.
Teaching and Museum work
As an educator, Stacy worked as the Costume Shop Manager at Trollwood Performing Art school, MN/ND, were she introduced and instructed high school students in proper ways to complete both builds and alterations. She has also been the instructor for the Costume Methods class, an introduction to theatrical sewing, at Boston University.

Stacy is not only passionate about building costumes but also about educating people on the history of costume. In 2023, she worked with curator theo tyson on the Boston Museum of Fine Arts Weddings exhibition Something Old Something New. Additional, she has interned at the Peabody Essex Museum cataloging new acquisitions into their costume collection database.
Education
Stacy received her Masters of Fine Arts in Costume Production, as well as, a Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies from Boston University. Additionally, she has her bachelors in Theatre Arts from the University of Wisconsin River Falls and a diploma and advanced certificate in Apparel Technologies from Minneapolis College.

Stacy has loved working in theatre and can't wait to continue creating clothing which will spark conversations, educating new costume artists, and informing everyone who will listen about the history and power of clothing.
